My Thoughts on Murder Drones
Today, I watched every existing episode of the animated web series Murder Drones and... I like it... but it's also a little confusing. I feel like the story that was promised at the end of the first episode wasn't the one that I ended up getting. The first episode ends with Uzi abandoning her colony with N and planning to go to Earth to kill all humans, even giving a wicked evil laugh. I was excited to see that story unfirl, but then, in the next episode, they seem to ditch that story completely in favor of a different one. So that was a little disappointing. As the episodes go on, the story just keeps getting more and more complicated. I don't mind if a show decides to go really deep and complex with its narrative, but it just went so far that I was having a heck of a time keeping up with it all. It almost makes me wish they had stuck with the plot of Uzi wanting to commit organic genocide. But like I said, I am enjoying the show despite my confusion. I like the characters, the
